Here’s a do-it-yourself publicity success story that hits close to home.

In April of 2006, Cynthia Flash of www.flashmediaservices.com wrote a story for the Seattle Times about how to pick a financial planner who is best for you.

She interviewed my husband Steve Juetten, a Certified Financial Planner professional, for the story.

Yesterday — 17 months after the story ran — a man in search of the right financial planner to serve him and his wife’s needs did a Google search for fee only financial planners in Bellevue, Washington. Guess what? The Seattle Times article in which Steve was quoted popped up. The reader visited Steve’s Website at www.finpath.com and called him to have a deeper conversation. Steve meets this potential client and his wife this morning.

This just goes to show that once stories flow to the Internet, they reside there indefinitely and offer even more opportunities to support client acquisition efforts in the future.  Steve’s example proves that point.
