Susan’s path in supporting others was clear even in her early years as a Girl Scout.  By serving her community and fulfilling the Scout Motto — “Be Prepared” — Susan’s can do attitude and generous, caring heart in helping others earned her the highest achievement in Girl Scouting, The Gold Award.

Her very first job  in a nursing home was yet another clue to her compassion and genuine commitment to serving others. Susan is a proud mother of three, a girl and two boys – 16, 12, and 8 , respectively. She understands and empathizes with the family.  It is sometimes am overwhelming job to be a mom.  She navigated single motherhood for eight years, giving her a unique perspective she now draws upon to empower single moms. Susan recently remarried a wonderful man who is sharing in the adventure and challenges of blending a family. Her new role as step-mom has had some unseen bumps too! As a mom of a child with Sensory Integration issues, she has learned to become an effective advocate for children with unique needs and enjoys sharing that experience with other moms.

An avid runner, she has competed in half-marathons – with a goal of completing a full marathon before age 50.  Incredibly frugal, she uses her savings on fun extras for her family.  (Ask how she flew her family of five to Hawaii for $400.)  A “Doodle” lover as well, you will find “Doodle” Molly riding around town doing errands with her favorite mom.  Susan is a true “Seattleite”  — she loves coffee, cloudy days, and can even pronounce Puyallup and Sequim and yes, she does think the bluest skies you’ve ever seen are in Seattle. Susan is truly impacting the lives of struggling and overwhelmed moms. With her unique  approach combining Parent Coaching, Family Management Coaching and Screamfree Living Principles, she helps moms get the BIG picture on how their homes are functioning.  Then, she helps them gain relief with a personalized plan of action to give life changing results.

Over the years, Susan has received recognition as a PCI Certified Parent Coach® Certified Family Manager® Coach Screamfree Certified Leader as well as a Trained PEPS (Program for Early Parent Support) group leader in Seattle.  She leads parent groups in her community, is a sought after speaker for PTA meetings and Moms groups, and conducts workshops and parent education classes.  Susan’s perspective and expertise have been featured on Blog Talk Radio, MomsMaterial, and in other website guest blogs and articles.
