Setting higher standards for yourself and your business is an integral aspect of growth and success. It's determining what you will and won't tolerate in your work and personal life. This could mean setting higher standards for the quality of your product or service, the treatment of your employees, or how you interact with business partners and clients.
Choose the right partnerships and collaborations, and value yourself in the process. Setting high standards is a way of honoring my work and making a bigger impact in the world.
Embracing Courage and Making Changes
Embracing courage to make changes in both personal and professional life is a key trait of successful entrepreneurs. It's about stepping out of your comfort zone and leaving behind habits or ways that no longer serve your purpose. This requires strength, determination and indeed, massive courage. Remember, it is the difficult changes that often leads us toward growth and success.
In other words, ‘burn the membership cards’ of the ‘getting ready to get ready club’ and embrace change and take action, leaving behind habits that no longer serve your true purpose.
Turning Cringe into What You Want
Life, as we know, is not always sunflowers and rainbows. There are tough times, and sometimes these difficult situations can leave us feeling somewhat ‘cringey'. But, turning these challenging situations into opportunities is a pure sign of personal growth and entrepreneurial maturity. It's about reframing the negatives into positives for self and business improvement.
In this talk I shared an exercise called “Cake and Cringe.” It is a subtle approach to turning cringeworthy situations into positive outcomes. By shifting your mindset and focus on positive visions you can transform these unpleasant situations. The exercise isn't about ignoring or running from the discomfort, but rather learning from it and manifesting positivity in the business and personal sphere.
